Dr. Dyson is a highly respected African American intellectual who has written a variety of books on hip hop, soul music, and other aspects of the African American experience. Mason reports, “It was an honor to share some air time with Dr. Dyson discussing all the positive hip hop out there. I have great respect for Dr. Dyson’s work, and hope to get a chance to rap with him again soon.”

Wrote the first four lines of words and immediately the hook came to me so I said “why not?” and dropped it at the very beginning after only four lines.
